Brief History of how the GLOBALink got started.
Late in 1996 six equally minded indiviuals from varied fiels of endeavor convened together with the purpose and vision of enhancing and augmenting the lamentable state of Information Technology available in Bicol Region. Out of this meeting, four of them are, (an Electronics and Communication Engineer, a B.S. Computer Science Graduate from Ateneo de Manila, a Bank Executive and an Entrepreneur) went and attended an Information Technology Exposition in Manila.
Right there and then, with the help of a friend who is an expert along in Information Technology here in Asia, they were enlightend and finally decided to put up an Internet Service Provider in Albay. GLOBALink was then stablished with a start of a modest bandwhich and a server setup in the office of an incorporator.
GLOBALink Internet is apoint of Presence MozCom in Albay. MozCom is in turn the pioneer commercial ISP in the Philippines. MozCom is currently the nation's largest Internet service provider in terms of Geographic presence, with more than 70 points of presence (PoP) nationwide linked to a domestic backbone of multiple E1 lines and satellite links.
So that's how the GLOBALink got started...and now they are here to Sorsogon City for a purpose, and that is to serve the Sorsoganon's Information Technolgy needs.
